Search Plugins FAQ
What are Search Plugins?
Search Plugins are a feature of the Mozilla / Phoenix / Netscape6+ web browsers that allow you to carry
out a search on a particular website (such as Google, Yahoo, etc.) directly from your web browser without
first going to the website. This saves you time and effort.
When a search plugin is installed, a search can be carried out from the Sidebar or from a search bar.
The results are then displayed in either the sidbar or in the main window, depending on your setup.
What are the Mozilla / Phoenix / Netscape6+ web browsers
These are free, open source web browsers developed at www.mozilla.org. These web browsers offer many advanced features
not available in other web browsers such as search plugins, tabbed browsing, popup blocking, etc.
You can download any of these web browsers for free from www.mozilla.org
How do you install search plugins?
Just scroll to the search plugin you would like below and click on the "Click To Install" link. A popup box
displaying details of the search plugin will appear. Now click on "OK" in the popup box to install.
You will of course need to be viewing this webpage with one of the Mozilla / Phoenix / Netscape6+ web browsers
for the install to work.
Where can I get more search plugins?
